Strategies
We have talked about a number of teaching strategies, such as think - pair - share, and jig saw. We have also talked at length about about diverse learning styles. I am curious to know from you guys how you are going to incorporate these things into your own teaching style. For me at the moment, I am going to take advantage of the observations to see how different things work, and steal the best techniques, and try to make them my own.

That is one of the benefits of the observations, maybe the only one. But I think the best strategy is to use variety in your teaching. You find the best ones for each individual class and then mix them up so the students don't get bored.
ReplyDeleteEach class is different, go prepared to teach using one particular method, but be flexible and kwel and change with what the class needs at that time. Hopefully you will see how flexible the kwel teachers are and how well they can jump back and forth to make their lesson better and kwel.
ReplyDeleteAh, effective teaching! We will talk about this in class on Tuesday night, just after you share this whole bologging thing with us:-)
